re: of Eru and the Ainur (spoiler!)

Eru or Illuvatar (elvish)

He is the lord and master of all, created the Ainur, the Maiar and made them play songs witch gave each Ainur their own visions for they we're all made of one part of Eru's toughts. Most visions we're rather blurry and unclear but after each song they came to greater understanding.

One Ainur felt like changing the song to his will, this confused most of the Ainur and they slowly stopped playing Eru's music. Eru arised from his throne 3 times to stop this Ainur named Melkor.

Ainur

Now Eru found that it was time to show the Ainur the result of their music. And out of the darkniss he brought forth Arda. Fiftheen of the Ainur went down to Arda, one of them was melkor (they were named valar from that point). They saw that it was dark and empty. But the music the they made had given them visions of the firstborn (elves) and how they should prepare the world for their arrival. One by one made what their vision showed them.

the Valar:

Manwë: King of the Valar

Ulmo: Lord of the waters

Aulë : Master of crafts, and maker of the Naugrim (Dwarf)

Oromë: The hunter

Mandos: Master of Doom and judge of the dead, dead elves pass to his halls

Lorien: Master of dreams and visions

Tulkas: The strong , he came to Arda to stop melkor (named Morgoth then)

Varda: Queen of the stars and wife of Manwë.

Yavanna: Queen of earth and giver of fruits, she requested the Ents and is the wife of Aulë.

Estë: The gently and healer of hurts

Vana: Queen of the blossoming flowers and the ever young.

Nessa: The dancer

Niena: Lady of mercy

Vaïre: The weaver

Melkor: named Morgoth and is the first lord of darkniss.

hope u enjoy it asmuch as i did ;) -tilli

Things like that always bring joy to my spirit Happy

It makes me remember when i anxiously beg my older brothers to tell me stories about Tolkine's world. I loved sitting by their side and spending large amounts of time listening them, althoug it felt like a second to me. I never had enough :P

Which make me think that maybe i should try these readed version of Tolkien's work you are listenting, Tilli. I guess i'd like it Happy

Anyway, nice idea Q, and nice post Tilli ;) I'll be glad to keep seeing more posts like this around here ;)

*coughs*

My bad. It should be BEGGED*

Sadly, i can't beg them anymore to tell me these stories. They don't like to do that anymore. They fell into life's biggest trap. They grew up...

Lovely and informative,  I find the lore is one of the best parts of the game.  Thanks for posting this.

Ahh. It was a spoiler. Just kidding. I read The Silmarillion. Very informative.

Thank you for this quick reference to the Valar! I forgot their names like 90% of the time and it bugs me when I really need to use them.
